Spay & Neuter Surgeries

Our Norwood Veterinary Clinic, located on the Northside of Jacksonville (conveniently located right off I-95 at exit 358), is one of the largest spay and neuter clinic in the country. Spaying or neutering pets lowers the number of unwanted puppies and kittens entering the shelters each year. We know spay/neuter is the one sure way to end the needless killing of cats and dogs in shelters.

Schedule your spay or neuter appointment by phoning our call center at 904-425-0005, ext 2, any day of the week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

  • Risk of mammary gland tumors, ovarian and/or uterine cancer is reduced or eliminated, especially if done before the first heat cycle
  • Reduces the number of unwanted cats/kittens/dogs/puppies
  • Helps dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives

Benefits of Neutering (males):

  • Reduces or eliminates risk of spraying and marking
  • Less desire to roam, therefore less likely to be injured in fights or auto accidents
  • Risk of testicular cancer is eliminated and decreases incidence of prostate disease
  • Reduces the number of unwanted cats/kittens/dogs/puppies
  • Decreases aggressive behavior, including dog bites
  • Helps dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives

Pet Vaccinations

Proper pet vaccination is vital to pet health and wellness. Making an appointment for vaccinations each year can help you avoid costly health problems for your pet(s) in the future.

  • All dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies
  • Leptospirosis and bordetella vaccinations protect dogs from contagious diseases
  • The feline core vaccination series (FVRCCP) and feline leukemia protection are recommended for all cats, especially those who spend time outdoors
Pet Vaccinations

Boosters

Pet vaccinations require boosters to provide continued protection. Without booster shots, your pet is in danger from contact with other pets. Together we can develop a recommended booster schedule for your pet(s).
